Asian Youth Music Competition

Singapore Selection

(Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Brunei and Vietnam Auditions)

 

Objective

To select gifted young pianists from Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei and The Philippines to compete in the Final Round of the 6th AYMC to be held in Hong Kong from February 16 to 20, 2016.

Competitors will be judged only among those from their own countries. From each country, a maximum of one pianist (or one team of two pianists from the Piano Duo groups) from each category will be chosen to compete in the Final Round.

Eligibility

Open to pianists who are citizens or residents of Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei and The Philippines.   Residents to include foreign pianists or students residing in the countries mentioned.  For example, a Mainland Chinese student studying in Singapore would compete in the Singapore category, but a Filipino pianist residing in Thailand would still compete in the Philippines category.

    • Senior Group (Group No. 1) - Age 25 and below - (Born AFTER 16 Feb 1990)
    • Junior Group (Group No. 2) - Age 20 and below - (Born AFTER 16 Feb 1995)
    • Children Group (Group No. 3) - Age 12 and below - (Born AFTER 16 Feb 2003)
    • Special Chinese Pieces A (Group No. 4) - No age Limit (Chinese Scores Download)
    • Piano Duo (Group No. 5) - Age 18 and above - (Born ON or BEFORE 16 Feb 1998)
    • Special Chinese Pieces B (Group No. 6) - (Chinese Scores Download) Age 15 and below - (Born AFTER 16 Feb 2000)
    • Kabalevsky Group (Group No. 7) Age 15 and below - (Born AFTER 16 Feb 2000)
    • Mozart Group (Group No. 8) Age 15 and below - (Born AFTER 16 Feb 2000)
    • Sonatina Group (Group No. 9) Age 15 and below - (Born AFTER 16 Feb 2000)
