The Asia Musicians Society is a society which is based in Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C. It is a society which provides a platform for all the musicians in Asia, including music tutors, professionals and learners, to share their invaluable music experiences, exchanging ideas and also at the same time to learn from one another.
The Asia Piano Competition is a key event organised by the Society, which is open for professionals and amateurs from the age of 5 to 25. There is also an additional category which we believe is a very good way to showcase the works composed by Asian composers - The Asian Works Category. Participants in this particular category are required to perform repertoires which are composed by Asian composers.
Following the success of our first piano competition last year, we are pleased to announce that we are hosting our second piano competition this year - The Asia Piano Competition 2013. The preliminaries of the competition will be held in different parts of Asia including China and Taiwan, whereas the preliminary round for Singapore will be held on 6th July 2013 (Sat). All the finalists from the preliminary rounds will be invited to compete in the final which will be held in Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C between 17th - 19th August 2013, with the opportunity to participate in the master classes (20th August 2013) at Music Department Recital Hall, National Taiwan Normal University. Winners with outstanding performances will also be invited to perform at the Winners' Concert on 19th August 2013 where prize presentation will also be carried out.
